[He's got his misgivings, of course. He'll miss Crossbell, miss his found family. But giving Moon what time he's got... that seems worth it. He's not irreplaceable, even back home.]

[They can plan visits— Moon wouldn't stop him from going. He's promised a few worldhops of his own, after all. But that's all logistics they can figure out later, along with all the delightful domesticity of settling a partner into his home.

[it's one of the large moonstone beads from the necklace of office that Moon sometimes wears. those are polished smooth, but he's used his claws to carve this one to look like a curled up dragon. there's eight tiny gemstone chips for its eyes and it's strung on a silk cord stolen out of one of Moon's robes.]

There was a holiday party and some of the ones celebrated had the tradition of giving gifts.
